Purdue students are invited to worship each Sunday with the congregation of Our Saviour Lutheran Church located close to Purdue's campus. Two services are offered (the 5:30 p.m. service is only offered during Purdue's Fall & Spring semesters): 8:30 a.m. Morning Worship. This more traditional service uses liturgies from the Lutheran Book of Worship and With One Voice, as well as Marty Haugen's Now the Feast and Celebration, and accompaniment is generally by organ. Fellowship follows after the service. Students are welcome! 11:00 a.m. Morning Worship. "Ancient-Future" is the theme of this new service. Come check it out! Students are welcome! Sunday Student Led Worship (evening) 5:30 p.m. Sunday Night Worship. This service generally attracts more of a college crowd, but congregational members also attend. Students are involved in the planning and leadership of the service, which features a variety of liturgies including Ray Makeever's Make A Joyful Noise, Chicago Folk Service, Marty Haugen's Now the Feast and Celebration, Holden Evening Prayer, and more. Accompaniment is by piano, keyboard, or guitar, and the PLM Choir sings most weeks. Sunday Night Supper, a free, home-made meal for students, takes place at Our Saviour immediately after the service at 6:30 p.m. Click here for information about how to get to Our Saviour.
