…Grounded in God's Unconditional Love, Community & Following Jesus

Who we are: Grace-filled & Inclusive

Eucharist

For us, it always begins with God. And God’s unconditional love for us. That even through we don’t measure up to what God wants for us, There’s a churchy (shorthand) word for this – and it’s grace.

This is what marks us as being different from other religions – and indeed, even many other christian traditions. We believe in the radicality of God’s grace. That while we were yet sinners, God loved us – and did what must be done, so that we might be reconciled once again. Reconciled to God, and reconciled to one another.

Out of this radical understanding of God’s love. Some of the other marks of our tradition include:

  • A stong tradition of cooperation with persons of any creed.
As one evidence of that, our religious community (The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) is in Full Communion with:
    United Methodist Church
    Disciples of Christ
    United Church of Christ
    Presbyterian Church (USA)
    Episcopal Church
    Moravian Church
  • We are an inclusive church – accepting people where they’re at – seeking to break down barriers of any kind – so that we might bear witness to God’s unbounded love.
